Is Companionship covered by CDHCI?

Companionship isn’t one of CDHCI’s defined services (personal care, homemaking alongside it, and respite). Social connection naturally happens during authorized personal-care and respite visits, but hours can’t be authorized for companionship itself — pure companionship is private-pay. Your Assisted Living Alberta care plan lists what’s authorized; approved hours are billed to Alberta Blue Cross.
